When I was a baby, my parents bought me a talking Sylvester (from Looney Tunres and Merrie Melodies) toy. You pulled the string by his tail and he said "Sufferin' succotash!" I took him with me everywhere and couldn't stand to be parted from him. In '84 when I was four, my cousin decided to give him a bath, and though she didn't soak him, the talking mechanism still got wet enough that it stopped working. My folks bought me a new Sylvester, and I then started carrying both around after that. Now 31 years after getting the original one, and 27 years after getting the second one, I still chersih them both, and the second one still talks, though the mechanism is about wore out and cannot be understood anymore. So I posted up the new chap of Inheritance, yet when I went to add the chapter link to the archive, lj refused to edit the page. I added the number, the link, and saved, but when the page loaded, there were no changes.
So I tried to take "A Gracey's Chance" off hiatus since I finally started working on it again, and the same thing happend. I can't edit my archive page.

I haven't tried to edit a different page, but I'm sure it will be more of the same. I can't get into the HTML editor from the rich text editor either. If by some chance, this is only affeting the archive page, I guess I can copy and paste from my dreamwidth account and make a new one in lj, but I'd rather not do that.

Damn you, livejournal.

UPDATE! Apparently, it's yet another compatibility problem with IE9. Of course, I'm still blaming it on lj staff, since IE9 was working fine in compatibility mode before they did their last update. Anyway, if I use Mozilla Firefox, then everything is cool.
