Finished!

I finished Amnesia: The Dark Descent at 3am this morning.

It was a wild ride. The Prison was creepier than hell, and there was one heart stopping moment in the kitchen, when I had to hide in the corner from a monster that was breaking down the door. The place I was hiding wasn't dark at all, and at one point, the monster looked right at me! and then walked out calm as you please.

After the Prison, I went through the Entrance to Cister, Cistern, Control Room, and then the Sewers. Then it was on to the Nave (where a certain someone just wouldn't shut the fuck up), the Choir, the Trancept, and then the Chancel. I ended up in a cell and had to break out before the shadow got me, and then it was a terrifying chase through the corridors with the pissed off shadow right on my ass the whole time.

Then it was Nave Take 2, and then Chancel Take 2, the Inner Sanctum (that phrase always makes me chuckle) and there was a moment there where the fucking shadow showed up and made my sanity level go from "A slight headache" to "OMFGWTF! I'm dragging my face along the floor!". But after that it was on to the Orb Chamber, and a stark ass naked Alexander.

Yeah, it was fun. XDDD

Now, do I play again, with the developer commentary turned on? Or do I try my hand at Penumbra? Decisions, desicions....

Look up at the ceiling, you'll see a rope suspened on a pully system above you. One of the the pulleys in jammed by a piece of wood. Reach up and wiggle it back and forth until it breaks. Then follow the rope over until it comes down to a crank next to the door. Turn the crank until it stops and the trapdoor will be raised.

Thank you. Thank you. XDDD The game did sure as hell have its scary monents, and it was tense as hell. The game seemd to get easier for me once I was past the Prison.

My final verdict is that while the game certain was tense and frighteing, it's not as scary as I was led to believe. All those people on Youtube screaming their heads off are pansies. XDD

Well, that worked. But now I'm in this area with like waist-deep water with this fucking monster attacking me that I can't even see and I keep dying. I SHAT BRICKS. I had to exit. >>

The game is extremely tense. I am literally scared of every corner and doorway. ;_;

Well, I never screamed aloud like those people on Youtube... but I was startled by those red membrane-looking things in the floor damaging me when I walk over them. I jumped and went, "AAH!!" >> I guess I'm a semi-pansy. XDDDD

Be glad, you're almost to the end of the demo. Are there any crates nearby? If so JUMP on them, and dont' get off unless you have to!

I like it. :)

Oh fuck, hallelujah. ;_; Yeah, there are some crates. How do you jump onto them? DDDDD8

Amnesia does its job to be sure. @___@

spacebar to jump, shift to run. Try not to do a running jump right in front of the crates though, you won't make it. I found that our the hard way when the water lurker - the invisible water monster - killed me twice in quick succession in the full game. XD

Get online, so we can chat! XD
