Curse of Darkness Cuteness
I was playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness the other day when my one devil type innocent devil did something so cute, I had to share it.
When you get the devil type, their initial form is the Gale, the stereotypical devil from fiction and cartoons: small red body with horns, wings, and a pitchfork. It flutters around your head, and then relentlessly attacks enemies when they appear. They are little powerhouses.
Anyway, my Gale - that I had named Atsushi, fitting I think - were in the Aiolon Ruins when I put the controller down for a moment as we walked into another room. Hector stopped just inside the room, while Atsushi fluttered around his head. The enemies were on the other side of the room, so they didn't come near us. Atsushi apparently was itching for battle becaue he started stabbing his pitchfork in the direction of the skeletons and saying "Ya! Ya!" is his raspy little voice. I started laughing, picked the controller back up and we went on to slaughter everything in the ruins.
Well Atsushi eventually evolved into the Brow type innocent devil, and then he evolved into the devil type's final form, The End. At level 45 he dropped a devil shard which allowed me to bring his child, Aoi, into being. At level 65, Aoi dropped a shard, which allowed me to bring Atsushi's granddchild, Mordecai, into being. A new innocent devils gets a stats boost from its parent, so Mordecai is the most powerful of three (He took down Death practicaly by himself in four minutes.), and I don't use Atsushi much anymore. But I'll never forget his moment of cuteness in the ruins. XD
