If I Ever...
...Become an Anime Character.
1. I will request that the cockpit for the giant mech be put some place other than between the robot's legs.
2. If I see an upswing in crimes that involve religious images and writings and victims that are drained of blood, I will leave before they try to take over the city.
3. If my grandfather announces that he is going to remodel the house and that everyone needs to find alternate arrangements, I will not be meek and shy and go live in a tent. That is what friends are for.
4. If I meet members of a large family and one member is angry and aloof, I will do my best to get close to him, because he's likely my future love interest anyway.
5. If I see a group of travelers that have a famous/infamous reputation arriving in my town. I will not go out with everyone else to greet them, because they are likely imposters. The REAL group will show up later, so I will greet them then.
6. I will not partake in any interplanetary racism, since doing so will only bite me on the ass later.
7. If my wife suddenly disappears with no explanation, I will not accept it as face value.
8. If I feel that the new mech seems to be taking control of its pilots, I will tell my superior so, instead of pussy footing around the subject.
9. Despite how much fun it is, I will remember that Feudal Japan is exactly that and avoid going there, especially if I am a woman.
10. I will not immediately bump off the man I see on TV, since it's likely a clever set up designed to entrap me.
11. I will remember that trying to recreate human life is never a good idea and that it will only bite me on the ass later.

Me too, but I always thought that Kagome was nuts going back there so much, since in those days, medical care was pretty damned primative, and women had no rights. Knowing my luck, some damned lord would have tried to get me for a wife or something. :D

I used to wonder about the whole Cockpit thing with robots. I am willing to bet it came from someone who wanted to add in a "part" and get it everything possible (no pun intended) from comics to shows. If that were really the case then their plan worked.
