The Fanfictionary - Intro

I started this moster a few years back (Actually, it might have been more than that...) and it found a home on the Anime Fountain site. But when the Fan's Corner there comes down, so too will this, so this is its new home. This is a HUGE dictionary of fanfictions terms that can be found in use all over the internet. Enjoy!

The Fanfictionary

Ah yes, fanfiction. Some people love it, some people hate it, some couldn't care less, while others are down right offended by it. But like anything with a huge following, fanfiction has a large array of terms and phrases used by its writers and readers to describe their characters, their situations, and the fics themselves. So if you are reading the fanfiction here on the Anime Fountain or some other website and are just curious, or if you are reading the posts between the fanfiction writers here, and just want to know what in the world we are talking about, or you are planning about submitting something here, then this dictionary is for you. Below you'll find a list of the terms used by fanfiction writers and their meanings. While most are universal, some have other meanings that I may not be aware of. I will add those, as well as any new terms, as I find them.
